Game Art & Design (GAD) is an honors level course that introduces students to the foundational principles and techniques of creating art assets and designing games for both tabletop and video game platforms. The course will cover the game design process, mechanics, and aesthetics. Students will develop visual assets for games, including characters, environments, and props, and will learn to create interactive game mechanics that enhance player engagement. Students will continue to use the applications learned while taking 3D Modeling & Animation and will learn either the Unreal game engine to bring their games to life.
